Temporary Meter Technician
Highline Water District is accepting applications for a Temporary Meter Technician. This temporary position will be assigned to the Customer Service Department. The successful candidate will assist field staff in performing all work necessary for the installation and maintenance of water meters. The temporary assignment will end after 200 days.
This position requires any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be work experience installing water meters as well as experience with various hand and power tools. A High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Washington State Driver's License are required. The hourly rate for the Temporary Meter Technician is $14.00 - $16.00 per hour.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk on uneven and/or steep terrain, stoop, kneel, climb or crouch.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally required to work in confined spaces.
The employee is occasionally required work near moving traffic.
